Monaco's national museum is split between two sumptuous villas. Seasonal contemporary art exhibitions focus on a theme: performing arts (Serge Diaghilev, stage designs etc) at beautiful belle époque Villa Sauber, where a lush garden is shaded by several magnificent palms and ficus trees; and the environment (oceans, apocalypse etc) at the pearly-white Villa Paloma, built for an American in 1913.
