Restaurante Zamna

Yucatecan in Izamal

Traditional, tasty and home-cooked food (you can watch your tortillas being made), prepared in a huge open-sided thatched hut, which adds to the charm. Start with a chaya juice and then tuck into regional specialties such as sikil pak (delicious pumpkin-seed dip), papadzules (chopped egg-filled tortillas) and cochinita pibil (slow-cooked pork).

It's a 10-minute walk east of the main square: take Calle 31 and then turn right on Calle 22.
