Steps from the Zócalo, this colonial structure has been artfully restored, with original wood beams and stone walls as a backdrop for modern, energy-efficient facilities. Spacious dorms have four or six sturdy bunk beds on terracotta floors. Immaculate bathrooms trimmed with azulejo (painted ceramic tiles) amply serve around 100 occupants.
The rooms have wardrobes, free toiletries and colourful décor with some local artwork touches. Some bedrooms have a private bathroom, while others share it. Some rooms also offer a view of the city.
