After pick you up, we will go to Del Carmen Museum in San Angel.In 1615, the Order of the Discalced Carmelites built the College of St. Angelo Martyr. This college had up to 51 students studying theology. In this former convent you can see the vestiges of the way of life that the monks implicit in many of the corners will transport you centuries back ago. You will climb stairs, go out to a patio, you will discover sculptures, you will see walls with oil paintings, and on the way you will find more and more rooms.There were found 12 bodies preserved and mummified in a natural way.In 1858, thanks to the Reformation, the convent was closed and passed to the city council, who sold much of the construction and gardens, using the rest as jail and barracks, among other functions. After this interesting sightseen, we will go to a very important forest and national park The “Desierto de los Leones” (Lions Desert).The forest has many kind of trees like oyamel, ash, oak, among others. There are over one hundred species of mushrooms. About its fauna, there are more than a hundred birds, 30 mammals, 7 species of amphibians and 9 of reptiles. Some of the most important species are tlacuaches, rabbits, raccoons, coyotes, gray foxes, whitetail deer, hawks, carpenter birds, bats, etc. In the park there is also an ex-convent, called by the same name, originated by the order of the Discalced Carmelites, in the seventeenth century, since they needed to create a convent that would serve as a Christian retreat and meditation, away from the noise of the city.
