Enjoy an Amazing Journey visiting the Aguacero Waterfall and La Venta Canyon River, admire the incredibles views of this canyon and enjoy the nature surroounding located in one of the most impressive Reserves in Mexico and Chiapas, "Ocote Biosphere Reserve", only from one hour driving  from Tuxtla Gutiérrez.
The Adventure start in the morning with direction to Aguacero Waterfall  with 75 m high, formed by the river La Venta; its heavy precipitation creates the feeling of a rainstorm. The precipitation volume is variable, depending on the season. This community destination is located in the Forest Biosphere Reserve El Ocote and the Ecotourismo Centes is  managed by a community of Indigenous tzentales who offers different kind of service like a Local Food and adventures activities around the place like hiking, trekking and swimming in a underground river (Only From December through May, ) an underground river running through the 200m-long El Encanto cave. . Once there you can hike to observe the abundant flora and fauna around the place from a spectacular viewpoint where you can admire the begining of the La Venta River Canyon.To visit the waterfall, you must have a good physical condition; since you have to have to descend a long series of steps, somewhere around 750 -900 steps to appreciate the waterfall. You will have the chance to walk under the waterfall and along the river. The river water is shallow and the bottom is of soft sand; we spent a few hours walking through the warm river water and relaxing under the cold spring water rushing off of the canyon wall.  Enjoy the contact of nature and discover this natural wonder full of adventure and beauty.For your protection bring sunglasses, hat or cap, sunscreen, insect repellent and raincoat during the rainy season from July to November, also  We recommend you bring binoculars.
