Most of the city centre's main streets have clusters of merchants selling similar items. Bourbon St has swarms of flower sellers, Coderie St (also spelt Corderie St) has silk and fabric vendors, and La Chaussée St is where locals go to buy electronics.

Le Caudan Waterfront is the place to go for trendy knick-knacks, upmarket designer boutiques, books, handicrafts and souvenirs. For a more earthy experience, there's always the Central Market.
