THREE (3) HOURS MORNING TUK-TUK TOUR - GOZO

Easily reached by the Gozo Channel Ferry departing Cirkewwa (Malta) 09h45 AM and arriving Mgarr Terminal in (Gozo) around 10h15 AM.  The Tuk-Tuk driver will be holding a Yippee Tuk-Tuk tours sign outside the arrivals terminal.The tour departs at 10h30 AM from Mgarr Harbour heading towards the Xewkija Rotunda. The entrance to the Rotunda is free of a charge. The roof of the Rotunda offers a unique 360 degree panoramic view of the island of Gozo and is accessed through a lift against a small fee which is paid directly by the client to the church and is not included in the price.We leave the village of Xewkija through it's back roads, and through the village of Sannat we cross over to the village of Munxar, home to the beautiful Sanap Cliffs.The pathway to Sanap Cliffs is not easily accessible by public transport or on foot. Our Tuk-Tuk gets you there. Sanap Cliffs offer a unique experience of the rugged landscape and sea of the southern part of the island of Gozo. We approach Xlendi Bay stopping at the Belvedere overlooking the Xlendi tower. The tower is one of the Lascaris towers and dates back to 1650, and is the oldest free-standing coastal watchtower in Gozo. Heading down towards the Xlendi Bay one can enjoy the long stretch of cliffs.Leaving Xlendi bay behind us the driver tuks  up the hill  to the village of Fontana, known for it's old wash house built by the Knights, named after a natural spring which flows nearly all year round. Leaving the village of Fontana we head towards the village of San Lawrenz, passing by the Aquaduct on the surburbs of Victoria. It was built by the British between 1839 and 1843 to transport water from Ghar Ilma in the limits of Kercem to the capital Victoria. Through the village of San Lawrenz we head down towards Dwejra bay. Dwejra is also home to the Fungus Rock, Inland sea and the Blue hole - one of Gozo's top dive-sites. Dwejra tower, is a small watchtower in Dwejra Bay that was completed in 1652.Uphill leaving Dwejra Bay behind us we proceed to the magnificent Ta' Pinu Basilica in Gharb. Entrace to the Basilica is free of charge and is a masterpiece of craftsmanship in limestone. Recently the parvis of the Basiclica has been decorated with mosaics representing the 20 stations of the Cross.We then start our return journey to Mgarr Harbour passing through Gozo's capital city Victoria having the Citadel as our backdrop. The driver will ensure that you are on time to connect to the ferry for a timely return to Malta, unless you would like to also experience our afternoon tour which offers another unique route.Free pick up for clients residing in Gozo.

The tuk tuk tour departs from Mgarr Harbour, and our first stop will be at village square of Xewkija, infront of the Xewkija Rotunda church. Entrance to the Rotunda is free of charge. The tuk tuk then proceeds towards Mgarr Yacht Marina where we connect to one of our own boats.  Our skipper will motor you towards Santa Maria Bay on the island of Comino, where lunch (included) will be served by our own Eatery seated and shaded. Your food will be freshly prepared, so in the meantime you can enjoy a swim at Santa Maria Bay. Adults can choose one item under Fasties or Rise & Shine or Buns & Greens section from our Menu. A choice of small bottle of water or fruit juice or soft drink or half pint or glass of wine. Children ages 3-12 can choose one item from the kiddies section in the Santa Maria Bay along with a choice of small bottle of water or soft drink. A freshly prepared ice-cream will be served as dessert. We then cruise towards the Blue Lagoon where we will have a swim stop. To ensure the full experience of the island of Comino our skipper will cruise through Crystal Lagoon and will also visit some caves around the island of Comino. We Tuk-Tuk back uphill towards the village of Gharb, and reach the next stop at Ta' Pinu Basilica which is dedicated to Our Lady of Ta'Pinu, it was built between 1920 and 1931. It is an architectural masterpiece, especially inside with its superb sculptures and craftsmanship in Maltese stone. Entrance to the Basilica is free of charge.The parvis of the Basilica has been recently given a transformation and now boasts 20 stations of the Cross made out of mosiac. We Tuk-Tuk downhill enjoying the valley known as Wied il-Mielah, appraoching the Wied il-Mielah window, where once again we stop. This is a limestone natural arch on the north-western coast of the island of Gozo. It is located at the end of the valley known as Wied il-Mielah in north of the village of Gharb.This experience is not accessible by public transport. In the distance one can also see the Fanal tal-Gordan. This lighthouse is still active and it is located on a hill above the village of Ghasri. This experience is not accessible by public transport. We then head towards the west side of the fishermans village of Marsalforn, reaching the Salt Pans in the fisherman's village of Marsalforn. We stop to admire he chequerboard formation of the rock-cut salt pans protruding into the sea which date back some 350 years. The salt pans stretch for about 3km along the coast. We proceed passing through Xwejni bay and the village of Marsalforn heading towards the village of Xaghra. At this village we offer a choice to our passengers between the Ggantija Temples or Calypso Cave. Ggantija is a megalithic temple complex from the Neolithic period and are the earliest temples of the Maltese islands.There is an entrance fee to the temples that is not included in the price. Alternativley the other choice is free of charge and it's Calypso Cave. Calypso Cave in the village of Xaghra, overlooks the glorious red sands of Ramla il-Hamra and surrounding valley.This is another great photo opportunity. It is alleged that Calypso's Cave is the cave referred to by Homer in The Odyssey. We Tuk-Tuk downhill leaving behind the village of Xaghra we come onto the rich and fertile Ramla Valley, on the northern side of the island of Gozo. We Tuk-Tuk uphill on the other side of the valley approaching the village of Nadur, towards Ta'Kenuna Tower. This semaphore (sign) tower was built by the British in 1848 and is 130 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by a small attractive botanical garden that has a number of plants that are native to the Maltese islands. This stop offers a unique backdrop as it overlooks the island of Comino, giving a great opportunity for a photo with the unique Blue Lagoon as a backdrop. We Tuk-Tuk our way down to Mgarr Yacht Marina, where we board one of our boats. Our skipper will stop at the Blue Lagoon as he approaches Cirkewwa harbour in Malta where he will escort you to your transportation, which will return you to your original pick up point.
