City Sightseeing Gozo Hop-On Hop-Off Tour

The Purple and Blue Routes both begin in Mgarr (Stop 1); however customers can join the tour at any of the tour stops along the route. If you’d prefer to enjoy the sights from the open-top double-decker buses, then stay on the tour for the full loop, taking approximately 60 minutes to complete the Purple Route and 115 minutes to complete the Blue Route. Hop on as the tour takes you on an adventure through Gozo, a city famous for its UNESCO-listed Ggantija Temples, its beautiful beaches, and its many hiking spots. Along the Purple Line, be amazed by the Xewkija Village, one of the oldest villages in Gozo, as you also enjoy panoramic views from the bus’ open-top deck of the Rotunda of Xewkija, one of Gozo’s most important landmarks. Gozo Ta' Cenc Cliffs Segway Tour

The tutorial takes place at the meeting point, in the limits of Sannat. As soon as you familiarise yourself with driving the segway, you immediately head to the beautiful graveled road overlooking Gozo's central villages, including Xewkija's Rotunda church, Ta’ Gordan lighthouse and Marsalforn's 'Salvatur’ amongst your views. As you continue gliding on your segways, you will start to see the islands of Comino and Malta, the two other islands in the Maltese archipelago right in front of you. There will be plenty of opportunities to take postcard photos during this short and sweet tour.   Kantra Bay and nearby Mgarr ix-Xini were recently home to Hollywood heart-throbs Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie during the filming of their latest blockbuster 'By the Sea'!   Note: there is also the possibility of visiting the archaeological remains known as the Dolmens, dating back more than 2500 BC and the nearby breathtaking Ta’ Cenc cliffs. If you would like to avail yourself of this option, kindly notify it at the time of booking, so more time can be allowed for your tour. Gozo Sightseeing Segway Tour with Lunch

You have an option to choose either morning, or afternoon departure for this journey. Once decided, depart form Mgarr ferry terminal and head up to the scenic Belvedere Qala, that overlooks the harbor and Gozo channel with sister islands of Maltese Archipelago - Malta and Comino on the back. Qala is one of the most beautiful villages in Gozo. Your next destination is Nadur, one of Gozo's famous three hills and home to three of the most popular bays on the island - Dahlet Qorrot, San Blas and Ramla il-Hamra. Nadur is also the place to go to if you're looking for an authentic traditional culinary experience of the iconic wood stove bakeries. Here you will stop for a mouthwatering 'ftira' and some refreshing tea before heading to one of the best hidden secrets of the island - Calypso Cave.While observing lush green valleys beneath, continue down the hill to Ramla il-Hamra Bay, which literally translates as "Red Golden Sand". This is the largest bay on the island with red sandy dunes and shallow, crystal clear water. Congratulations on passing across the entire island! After a short break, hop back on your Segways and head deep into the remote valley between the steep hills of Nadur and Xaghra, where you will stop to handpick some wild seasonal pears or pomegranates. Most of the locally grown fruits come from this valley's orchards.Later, pass through the oldest village in Gozo, Xewkija. The Church of Saint John the Baptist, commonly known as the Rotunda of Xewkija is the biggest on Maltese islands and dominates the whole village. ItineraryThis is a typical itinerary for this productStop At: Church of St. John The Baptist, Xewkija, Island of GozoWe'll start off by visiting the Xewkija 'Rotunda', which is also the parish church, is the Seat of the Knights of the Order of St. John (also known as the Knights of Malta).The Rotunda, which claims to have the third largest unsupported dome in the world (28m in diameter and 75m tall), was built in the twentieth century and dedicated to St. John the Baptist. In the impressive white limestone interior, eight concrete columns covered with stone support the elegant dome, which has an estimated weight of 45,000 tonnes. The interior shows off the versatility and texture of local limestone and the skills of local craftsmen. It is sparsely decorated with fine sculptures and modern paintings. The tuk tuk tour departs from Mgarr Harbour, and our first stop will be at village square of Xewkija, infront of the Xewkija Rotunda church. Entrance to the Rotunda is free of charge. A 360 degrees panoramic view of the island of Gozo can be enjoyed from the roof of the rotunda. The roof can be accessed through a lift against a small fee (not included). We leave the village of Xewkija through it's back roads and through the village of Sannat we cross over to the village of Munxar, home to the beautiful Sanap Cliffs which are not easily accessible by public transport nor on foot. Our Tuk-Tuk gets you there. Sanap Cliffs offer a unique experience of the rugged landscape and sea of the southern part of the island of Gozo before we approach Xlendi Bay stopping at the belvedere overlooking the Xlendi tower. The tower is one of the Lascaris towers and dates back to 1650, and is is the oldest free-standing coastal watchtower in Gozo. Heading down towards the Xlendi Bay, the driver then tuks the hill up to the village of Fontana, known for it's old was wash house built by the Knights. Driving towards the village of San Lawrenz, we are passing by the Aquadot built by the British between 1839 and 1843 on the suburbs of Victoria to transport water from Ghar Ilma in the limitis of Kercem to the capital Victoria. Through San Lawrenz we head down to Dwejra bay, home of the Dwejra Tower, Fungus Rock, Dwejra Inland Sea and to the Blue Hole - one of Gozo's top- dive-sites. Uphilll leaving Dwejra, we proceed to the Mgarr Yacht Marina, passing through Gozo's capital city Victoria having the Citadel as our backdrop. The tuk tuk then proceeds towards Mgarr Yacht Marina where we connect to one of our own boats.  Our skipper will motor you towards Santa Maria Bay on the island of Comino, where lunch (included) will be served by our own Eatery seated and shaded. Your food will be freshly prepared, so in the meantime you can enjoy a swim at Santa Maria Bay. Adults can choose one item under Fasties or Rise & Shine or Buns & Greens section from our Menu. A choice of small bottle of water or fruit juice or soft drink or half pint or glass of wine. Children ages 3-12 can choose one item from the kiddies section in the Santa Maria Bay along with a choice of small bottle of water or soft drink. A freshly prepared ice-cream will be served as dessert. We then cruise towards the Blue Lagoon where we will have a swim stop. To ensure the full experience of the island of Comino our skipper will cruise through Crystal Lagoon and will also visit some caves around the island of Comino. Sanap Cliffs offer a unique experience of the rugged landscape and sea of the southern part of the island of Gozo. We approach the Xlendi tower, one of the oldest free-standing coastal watchtowers in Gozo. Heading down towards the Xlendi Bay, one can enjoy the long stretch of cliffs and the bay. Then we head to Fontana, where we pass the old wash house which was built by the Knights, named after a natural spring which flows nearly all year. We then head towards the village of San Lawrenz, passing by the Aquadot in the suburbs of Victoria. The Aquadot was built by the British between 1839 and 1843 to transport water from Ghar Ilma to Victoria. Then its on to Dwejra Bay, home to the Fungus Rock and one of Gozo's top dive sites. We Tuk-Tuk back uphill towards Gharb, and reach the next stop at Ta' Pinu Basilica built between 1920 and 1931. It is an architectural masterpiece, especially inside with its superb sculptures and craftsmanship in Maltese stone. We Tuk-Tuk downhill enjoying the valley known as Wied il-Mielah, with its limestone natural arch, on the north-western coast of Gozo. In the distance, one can also see the Fanal tal-Gordan, the ancient lighthouse which is still active. We then head towards the west side of the fishermans village of Marsalforn, reaching the Salt Pans, with its checkerboard formation of the rock-cut salt pans protruding into the sea which date back some 350 years. We proceed towards the village of Xaghra where passengers can choose to see either the Ggantija Temples or Calypso Cave. Ggantija is a megalithic temple complex from the Neolithic period and the earliest temples of the Maltese islands. There is an entrance fee to the temples that is not included in the price. Alternatively, the Calypso Caves are free of charge and overlooks the glorious red sands of Ramla il-Hamra and surrounding valley. It is alleged that Calypso's Cave is the cave referred to by Homer in The Odyssey. We leave behind the village of Xaghra and head to the fertile Ramla Valley and the village of Nadur, towards Ta'Kenuna Tower. This semaphore (sign) tower was built by the British in 1848 and is 130 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by a small attractive botanical garden that has a number of plants that are native to the Maltese islands and overlooks the island of Comino, with a great photo opportunity of the Blue Lagoon. We Tuk-Tuk our way down to Mgarr Yacht Marina, where we board one of our boats. Our skipper will stop at the Blue Lagoon as he approaches Cirkewwa harbour in Malta where he will escort you to your transportation, which will return you to your original pick up point.
