Valletta in Two Days

Start the day with coffee at Lot Sixty One or No 43 before wandering Valletta's history-loaded streets. Be sure to visit major attractions evoking the island's illustrious history; St John's Co-Cathedral, the Grand Master’s Palace and the National Museum of Archaeology. Admire Valletta's recent contemporary additions at MUŻA and Renzo Piano's Parliament Building and City Gate, before taking in astounding Grand Harbour views from Upper Barrakka Gardens.

On the second day, visit the National War Museum at Fort St Elmo, then take a tour of the Hal Saflieni Hypogeum (having prebooked online a few months' ahead). Afterwards enjoy a boat trip around the harbour and spend the afternoon exploring the beguiling Three Cities area. Take in an evening show in Valletta at Manoel Theatre or St James’ Cavalier Centre for Creativity, or dine at Noni or 59 Republic before a nightcap at Cafe Society or Yard 32.
