Welcome to Meemu
Meemu Atoll has eight inhabited islands, two resorts and is principally known for its huge coral reefs on the side of the atoll, which make it a popular destination for divers. The capital is Muli, a small and traditional island with little to attract visitors and where guesthouse culture is yet to take off. Nearby Mulah and the southerly Kolhufushi are more populous than the capital and are important agricultural islands where yams, a local food staple, are grown.
