Community based and sustainably managed, the pioneering, non-profit tourism initiative Borneo Penan Adventure offers intrepid trekkers a chance to visit the remote Penan villages of Long Kerong, Long Spigen and Long Sait in the Upper Baram. The villages are accessible on foot, by river or by 4WD from the highland airports of Long Lellang, Long Banga and Long Akah.

Itineraries are flexible (the minimum is three nights) and priced accordingly; typical expenses include a guide (RM100 per day), a porter (RM65 per day), boat hire (RM100 to RM250 one way), and hammock hire for jungle camping (RM25 per day) or a homestay (RM65 per person).
