Learn about each ingredient and the history of each Kristang (Portuguese-Eurasian) dish with one of the chefs (usually chef Melba, who does most of the cooking at Majestic Malacca Hotel). Book one week in advance. There's no minimum number, but there's a maximum of four people. This activity includes a market trip, cooking class and lunch.
Dishes you can learn to cook include Chicken Devil Curry, Chicken Pong Teh, Fish Singgang Koku, Fish Sambal Binagre, Soy Limang Terung and Sambal Terung. The price of RM380 is for the first person, and includes a Kristang cookbook; for the second person, the experience costs RM290, without the book.
