Run by Chung Ching Thye and his son since the mid 1970s, this remarkable hawker-style cafe at the base of a backstreet apartment block serves only vegetarian dishes. If you bypass a couple of stalls that use egg, it's also vegan. Try the char kway teow (broad noodles, clams and eggs fried in chilli and black bean sauce).
