Enjoy a day away from hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur city and explore the British colonial city, Ipoh. This is a foodie’s city offering endless street stalls and enjoy breathtaking limestone caves that seen carved by the capable hands of higher power. Take some great photos at some heritage buildings such as Ipoh Old Railway Station and Kellie's Castle.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Kuala Lumpur at 7am. Meet and greet your driver/guide and start journey to Ipoh and it will take approximately 2.5 hours by car.Explore centuries old Kek Lok Tong (cave) and see the temple built into the limestone cave and there is a beautiful and tranquil Zen garden on the other side of the temple. Visit Perak Cave and enjoy the cooling breeze on the top of the cave. There are many colorful paintings on the walls on the inner portion of the cave. Even calligraphy from the masters, and some written by the son of the founders of Perak Tong. Then, we go to the famous Sam Poh Tong, temple in cave. This temple has a lovely landscaped pond and you can buy some vegetables to feed to tortoise.Next we will enjoy delicious local lunch in Old Town, visit Leaning Clock Tower built in 1885 and old railway station. Take some beautiful photos before move on to the uncompleted dream castle – Kellie’s Castle. Unique and beautiful uncompleted large building with old British architecture design on top of a small hill and a romantic story behind of this castle. Great place for historical building fans. If time permitting, we will visit Kacang Putih Factory (Indian spiced snacks and nuts) before head back to Kuala Lumpur around 7pm. You will arrive at your hotel around 9:30pm.
