Stone House

Guesthouse in Livingstonia

This atmospheric granite house, also home to the Stone House Museum, was built on the crest of the mountain in 1903 and its rooms are redolent with history: cosy rugs, shadowy hardwood floors, and a twee lounge, which might have been transplanted from an Edinburgh tearoom. Unfortunately, the rooms share basic bathrooms and toilets in the basement.

Meals can be provided, but you must order in advance.
