Lake Kazuni Safari Camp

Cabin in Vwaza Marsh Wildlife Reserve

The camp's five simple en-suite, thatch-and-brick twin cabanas are perfectly positioned on the lakeshore; the animals are so plentiful that it feels as though you've stepped into a children's picture book. The camp is very basic and guests must bring their own food and drinks, including water; the accommodating staff will be happy to cook you dinner in the camp kitchen.

You can buy supplies in Mzuzu or Rumphi; do let the camp know you're coming.

Friendly resident guide Godwin is happy to accompany you on game drives in your own vehicle – by day or night – as long as it's a 4WD. The fee is US$10 per person. Alternatively, a walking safari costs US$10 per person.
