With the sea rarely far away in Northern Madagascar, fish and seafood abound. Zebu, poultry and pork are found everywhere, though the quality of produce in the Sava region lags behind. Local restaurants feature Malagasy and Chinese dishes, and pizzas are almost always on the menu. Local markets are perfect for self-catering.
Meals are served relatively early – from 11.30am for lunch and from 5pm for dinner.
