Welcome to Tikveš Wine Region

The region has all the hallmarks associated with its major industry: rolling vineyards and dusty agricultural towns, plus lakes, caves, gorges and churches. Touring independently is difficult, mind you. Wineries are badly signposted and winery tourism is a fledgling proposition. The exception is the region's shining star, Popova Kula Winery hotel and restaurant, which makes a wonderful base for appreciating the grapes.

Tikveš' major towns are Kavadarci and Negotino – both small and pleasantly provincial. Kavadarci's main claim to fame is that it's home to the nation's beloved Tikveš Winery.
