By far the most charming place to stay in Ohrid, this 1856 mansion offers nine rooms in the heart of the Old Town. There are old-world furnishings, creaky floors and wooden beams, and a cosy atmosphere. The two top-floor rooms have quirky sunken baths sitting behind a glass wall, looking out onto the tiny sun-trap terraces.
There are no communal areas at all in this hotel, but on the plus side this means breakfast is served down by the harbour at the owners' lakeside restaurant – Restoran Čun. Ask for discounts October to May.
Set in a traditionally decorated house, House Jovan is an authentic gem of Ohrid’s UNESCO-listed city centre. The 19th-century building has been recently renovated and offers free Wi-Fi. Fitted with antique wooden furnishings and hardwood floors, rooms at House Jovan combine a rustic ambience with panoramic views and modern amenities. Each is air conditioned and provides cable TV channels. Guests can discover local specialities from the Lake Ohrid Region at the restaurant of the hotel, or order room service. Laundry and ironing facilities are also available. Ohrid’s focal Main Square is only 30 meters from Villa Jovan and the lake waterfront promenade can be reached with a 5-minute walk.
Please let Villa Jovan know your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking or contact the property.
