Old Town

Luxembourg City's charm is best appreciated by strolling the Chemin de la Corniche and Old Town. Buzzing Place Guillaume II, surveyed by the neoclassical Hôtel de Ville, is the city's heart.

Grund

Many visitors find that this idyllically pretty waterside district down in the valley is their favourite part of the city. The main attraction is cafe-hopping while strolling the pedestrian lanes down from the Old Town and over to the Clausen area.

Kirchberg Plateau

EU institutions sit on a hilltop new-town area in modern steel-strutted, blue-glass towers. The plateau is edged with chunky fortification remnants and cultural attractions including art galleries, museums and concert halls.
