The City of Westminster has attracted tourists and locals for decades, with familiar sights such as, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace in high demand. Amongst these more well known landmarks are memorials and statues of Queens, Nurses, Political Reformers and Women of the Second World War. Our 2-3 Hour walking tour will take past these statues and memorials, celebrating the women's achievements and their role on London's History.The Women of Westminster tour starts at the memorial to Agatha Christie, near Leicester Square Underground station and will cover a range of themes including women's contribution to Education, Politics, Nursing, Literature and Royal Politics.
Start time 10am and 2pm everydayAgatha Christie Memorial, Cranbourn Street, Leicester Square, London. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the Tour to check in with your tour guide. This is a Walking tour, no public transport is required. Our Tour guide will stop at each of the memorials and statues to inform the guests of the history of the Women and their larger impact on London and change. Including but not limited to: -Agatha Christie -Florence Nightingale -Edith Cavell -Emmeline Pankhurst A break is not included in the 2-3 hour duration time, however dependant on the Tour guide a short comfort break may be taken. The tour will run in all weather conditions so please come prepared.
