The Cherangani Hills, covered in thick forest, are actually the fourth-highest mountain range in Kenya. There is a plethora of hiking options and several of them are quite gentle slopes through open farmland and sheltered valleys. Many people consider these intensely farmed and deeply forested hills to be one of the most beautiful corners of the country.

Hiking options include gentle half-day meanders through Pokot trading centres to five-day hikes from Kabichbich to Chesengoch and from Kapcherop to Sigor.
