Itinerary

Day 1 Kampala (1D) Arrive at any time. Additional Notes: Please make sure you have all of the necessary visas for this tour by the time of the welcome meeting. It is very important to read the visa section in our trip details to confirm which visas you will need, if any. Please note: not all nationalities are able to obtain a visa on arrival. Day 2 Kampala/Kalinzu Forest Reserve (1B, 1L, 1D) Watch the Ugandan countryside pass by on the day's journey. Transport: Lando (6.00 hour(s), 345km)
Day 3 Kalinzu Forest Reserve/Lake Bunyonyi (1B, 1L, 1D) Get up early for an included chimpanzee tracking excursion, then visit a tea plantation before setting off for Lake Bunyonyi. Included Activities: Chimpanzee Tracking Excursion Tea Plantation Visit Transport: Lando (3.00 hour(s))
Day 4 Gorilla Trek (1B, 1L, 1D) Enjoy a guided mountain gorilla trek in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Additional Notes: Depending on the date of our permits, it's possible that the gorilla trek will take place on the second full day in Lake Bunyonyi. Included Activities: Mountain Gorilla Trek
Day 5 Lake Bunyonyi (1B, 1L, 1D) Enjoy free time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 6 Lake Bunyonyi/Kampala (1B, 1L, 1D) Return to Kampala with a stop at the Equator for lunch at the G Adventures supported AidChild Equation Cafe & Gallery. Included Activities: AidChild Equation Cafe & Gallery Transport: Lando (12.00 hour(s), 520km)
Day 7 Kampala/Jinja (1B, 1L, 1D) Explore Jinja, known for its outdoor and adventure activities. Transport: Lando (3.00 hour(s), 90km)
Day 8 Jinja Spend another day exploring Jinja. Opt to raft down the White Nile River, mountain bike up and down the hills or check out the local market.
Day 9 Jinja/Eldoret (1B) Cross over into Kenya for a night in Eldoret. Additional Notes: This is an overnight stop in between two long driving days. Included Activities: Border Crossing (Uganda - Kenya) Transport: Lando (7.00 hour(s), 270km)
Day 10 Eldoret/Nairobi (1B) Sit back and enjoy the ride on a transfer through the Kenyan countryside to Nairobi. Transport: Lando (11.00 hour(s), 315km)
Day 11 Nairobi/Arusha (1B, 1D) Travel south and cross the border into Tanzania. Included Activities: Border Crossing (Kenya - Tanzania) Transport: Shuttle (7.00-8.00 hours, 290km)
Day 12 Arusha/Mto wa Mbu (1B, 1D) Visit a Maasai village to learn about the Maasai people and the G Adventures-supported Clean Cookstove project. Meet the local women engineers who have installed clean cookstoves throughout these communities. In the afternoon, opt to visit the Mto wa Mbu village to enjoy a local lunch and cultural experience with the town's villagers. Day 13 Mto wa Mbu/Serengeti National Park (1B, 1L, 1D) Enjoy a wildlife safari drive en route to the central Serengeti. Spend the night at a basic bush camp and enjoy the starry African skies. Included Activities: Serengeti National Park Safari Transport: 7-seat 4x4 safari vehicle (190km)
Day 14 Serengeti National Park (1B, 1L, 1D) Enjoy a full-day wildlife safari drive in the safari vehicle. Opt for a morning hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti. Additional Notes: Please note: if you have pre-booked the Serengeti Balloon Safari, today's likely the day for this activity! Your CEO will give you final confirmation of when it will take place, as it is subject to change. You will miss the included morning wildlife safari drive with the group, but you will have a much better view from above! Day 15 Serengeti National Park/Ngorongoro Crater (1B, 1L, 1D) Set off on a wildlife safari drive on the way out of the Serengeti. Camp on the Ngorongoro Crater's rim. Additional Notes: Please note that due to the high-altitude location of our camp, temperatures can drop at night. We recommend bringing extra layers to wear during the evening and following morning. Day 17 Arusha/Stone Town (1B) Transfer to the airport for a short, but scenic flight to this island paradise. Arrive in Stone Town in time for lunch and an orientation walk. If you opt to continue on for a longer tour of Stone Town, you will be visiting the Old Slave Market, House of Wonders, Palace Museum; entrance to these sites are optional and are to be purchased on site. Day 18 Stone Town/Nungwi (1B) Transfer to the white-sand beaches and turquoise waters of beautiful Nungwi Beach. Transport: Private Vehicle (1.50 hour(s))
Day 19 Nungwi (1B) Enjoy free time to lounge on the beach, snorkel, or tour the island.
