Travel to the north of Jordan through the Jordan Valley to visit Umm Qais, the ancient town of Gadara. The town is in the far north-west of the country on the cross sections of Jordan, Syria and the Holy Land meet. Here you can overlook the sea of Tiberias, the Golan heights and the Yarmuk gorge.
You will be picked up at 9am for this 6 hour tour. You will be driven to visit Umm Qais. This is where the Ottoman Governor’s House has been restored and opened as a museum, the surrounding area offers views over the Northern Jordan Valley, the Sea of Galilee, and the Golan Heights. You will walk the docomanos street that leads to the theater, different to other Roman Theatres.Proceed to the basilica, church, to see its octagonal altar which was a temple. Continue to the main street Cardomaximo which means the main street. The direction of this street is from east to west, usually the roman streets are from north to south.
