Day 1: Tel Aviv Airport Pick-Up Be picked up upon arrival to Tel Aviv airport and transferred to your Jerusalem accommodation. Enjoy the rest of the day exploring.
Day 2: Jerusalem Holy City Tour (B) Embark on the Old City tour. Learn about the 5,000-year-old history of Jerusalem and see the most important holy sites for all three major religions: the Western Wall and King David’s Tomb for the Jews, the Dome of the Rock where Prophet Mohammed ascended to heaven and the exquisite Al Aqsa Mosque for the Muslims, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the room of the last supper and the Via Dolorosa where Jesus walked bearing his cross before he was crucified. Listen to biblical stories and learn about the rich history of Jerusalem as you stand on the very spots where they took place.
Day 3: Masada, Ein Gedi & Dead Sea Day Trip (B) Depart Jerusalem today around 7:00am and travel towards the Dead Sea and the Masada Fortress in the beautiful Judean Desert. Hike to the top of the fortress or buy a ticket for the cable car for epic views over the Dead Sea and mountains. Continue to the nearby Ein Gedi Nature Reserve to spring-fed waterfalls and swimming holes. Continue on to the Dead Sea to float in the salty waters or give yourself a mud-bath exfoliation. Enjoy the evening in Jerusalem at your leisure.
Day 4: Mount of Olives Day Trip (B) Today, take a short afternoon trip from the Jaffa Gate to the Mount of Olives with important spiritual, religious and historical significance -known as the place where Jesus spent his last week on Earth and for Christians it is the place where the Gates of Heaven will open on Judgement Day. You can also visit the Mosque of Ascension among many ancient churches and Mary’s Tomb. Afterwards, feel free to enjoy the evening by walking to the Old City and the Lion’s Gate or taking a bus to the Western Wall.
Day 5: Jerusalem - Jerash - Amman - Bedouin Camp (B/L/D) Today we cross the border into Jordan and head towards Jerash, an ancient Roman city located on a hill in the middle of the modern city with a well-preserved Hadrian’s Arch, Zeus and Artemis Temples, cardo, hippodrome and oval forum. Next, we'll have a delicious traditional lunch and continue our trip to Amman Citadel, perched on a hilltop in the middle of the city with panoramic views. We'll continue to the Bedouin camp near Petra in time for a fulfilling dinner and campfire under the starry desert sky. Rest up in your cozy tent and warm bed.
Day 6: Petra - Jerusalem (B/L) Have an early breakfast and hop on the bus to Petra. The entire city was carved into the sandstone cliffs with a dramatic rose-coloured hue. Enjoy the entire morning to explore the city with your guide or alone. Have lunch on site and then return to Jerusalem via the Allenby Bridge border crossing.
Day 7: Jerusalem Accommodation Check-Out (B) Today your trip comes to an end with great memories of an unforgettable experience.
