Tonkatsu in Ebisu, Meguro & Around

Tonki is a Tokyo tonkatsu (crumbed pork cutlet) legend, deep-frying with an unchanged recipe for nearly 80 years. The seats at the counter – where you can watch the perfectly choreographed chefs – are the most coveted, though there is usually a queue. There are tables upstairs.

From the station, walk down Meguro-dōri, take a left at the first alley and look for a white sign and noren (doorway curtains) across the sliding doors.
