The traditional music, poetry and dances of , Japan's oldest existent mode of performing arts, unfold here on an elegant cypress stage. Each seat has a small screen displaying an English translation of the dialogue. Shows take place only a few times a month and can sell out quickly; purchase tickets one month in advance through the Japan Arts Council website.

The theatre is 400m from Sendagaya Station; from the exit, walk right along the main road and turn left at the traffic light.
