Tokyo Disney Resort

Amusement Park in Odaiba & Tokyo Bay

Tokyo Disney Resort has two parks: Tokyo Disneyland, modelled after the one in California, and Tokyo DisneySea, an original theme park with seven 'ports' evoking locales real and imagined (the Mediterranean and 'Mermaid Lagoon', for example). DisneySea targets a more grown-up crowd, but still has many attractions for kids. Both resorts get extremely crowded, especially on weekends and during summer holidays; you'll have to be strategic with your FastPasses. Book admission tickets online to save time.

If you want to visit Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea, it's slightly cheaper to purchase a two-day pass (adult/child ¥13,400/8800), which covers admission to both. The train station takes you right to the main entrance. Just in front are 'designated picnic areas' for packed food (only guests with dietary restrictions can bring food into the parks). A huge mall, Ikspiari, with cheaper fast food options, is also just outside Maihama Station. You can re-enter the park with a hand stamp.
