At the base of the gorge (though, sadly, with no water views), this simple building serves nagashi-sōmen (flowing noodles) – have fun catching them with your chopsticks as they whoosh by in spring water through shafts of halved bamboo, then dip them in sauce to eat. Of the restaurant's three buildings, you want the one with the large fish pools in front.
Don't worry if you miss some noodles; there's a basket at the end of the waterworks to catch them. Set meals add grilled fish, onigiri (rice balls) and other side dishes.
The place is often quite crowded at peak times.
