Osaka's most stylish hostel is inside a 1960s office building that has been suitably kitted out with retro furniture. There are Japanese- and Western-style private rooms, a small dorm with beds separated by screens and a cosy lounge that doubles as a cafe-bar. It's in a quiet neighbourhood, a 20-minute walk northwest of Shinsaibashi. Staff are friendly and knowledgable.

Bathrooms are shared and there's no elevator. From the station, exit right, turn right at the third stoplight and make the first left. The hostel produces a bilingual Japanese-English map covering Osaka's hippest 'hoods.

Description via Hostelworld

A boutique hostel designed by an architectural firm. Although it is not a party place, you will feel at home in the warm atmosphere.

Renovated from a 50-year-old building used to be a manufacture's office and its workers' residence, and newly opened in 2010, you can enjoy the modern design and interior decoration mixed with vintage and retro flavor.

Located in a quiet but trendy district just 15min walk to the downtown. Our original map will help you enjoy hanging about the neighborhood where small independent cafes, bakeries, galleries and vintage shops are popping up.

HOSTEL 64 Osaka has been renovated from an office building built in 1964 and we try to leave a sense of retro-flavor so that you will enjoy both Neo-modern and Retro-old Japan.
For this reason, not every item or facility is new and also due to Japanese traditional fittings such as paper doors, rooms are not perfectly sound-proof. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

Our friendly staffs are happy to help our guests for any problems.
Feel free to ask us for the local information for shopping, culture, art & design and nice food!
