Ramen in Ibusuki

Even tiny Ibusuki has its own ramen style. This polished shop won a prefectural ramen competition for its Kaimon-dake ramen (¥950), filled with local ingredients like ground black pork and hot-spring-boiled egg. The standard soy-sauce ramen is made with broth from local bonito. Also try tako yakimeshi (fried rice with deep-fried octopus), topped with writhing fish flakes.
