Explore one of the world's most iconic cities on two wheels with a small group of travellers and a knowledgable English speaking guide. Pedalling the streets and riverside paths of Hiroshima on top quality 'Trek' bikes, we will take in Hiroshima's infamous past at the Peace Park and Atomic Bomb Dome, as well as discovering the Hiroshima of today, a relaxed and forward looking city full of great people, great food and a great cycling infrastructure!
Meet with your guide and other travellers for a short orientation before heading out into the city. We will start the ride in the atmospheric backstreets of central Hiroshima, stopping at one of the few remaining examples of pre-war architecture before heading into the Peace Park and stopping at the world famous Atomic Bomb Dome.
From here, we head to the Gokoku Shrine and Hiroshima Castle before arriving to soak up the tranquility of Shukkei-en Japanese garden. On the way home, we will drop in to the Memorial Cathedral for World Peace and the fashionable Namiki-dori Street.
Our route is 90% flat and can be completed by anyone who can ride a bike!
