We will take a stroll around Fushimi district, Kyoto's major sake brewery district, and head for a Kyoto Sake Museum. After learning about the history of the end of Edo period and Kappa (the mythological creature) we will go to a hidden sake bar to enjoy more sake tasting. This place is also known as the place where Ryoma SAKAMOTO (Japanese prominent figure in the movement to overthrow the Tokugawa shogunate) became the stage of the “Sakamoto Ryoma attack” incidents by officials of the Fushimi magistrate office. Existing buildings were rebuilt in the Meiji era, and Teradaya which Sakamoto Ryoma did actually stayed is not left.
