Tour description provided by Viator

Nara Park can be compared to Hyde Park in London or Central Park in New York as the most visited park with the world famous historic sites located inside and were coincidentally established in the same century. During the guided tour in Nara Park, you will visit two major spots built in the 9th century, which are registered as UNESCO World Heritage sites. One is the world’s largest bronze statue of Buddha seated in the Great Buddha Hall, the largest wooden construction in the world. The other is Kasuga Taisha Shrine. This is the round-trip excursion program starting at Kyoto Station including comfortable transfer by the limited express with reserved seats.
For this private round-trip excursion, you will meet the guide at 8:15am at the lobby of Hotel Granvia Kyoto in the Kyoto Station building for early start to feel fresh air. Then, transfer to Nara by the limited express with reserved seats. Out of total 4-hour tour, you will have enough time to walk in Nara Park while covering two of the World Heritage sites such as Todaiji Temple (Great Buddha Hall) and Kasuga Taisha Shrine. The tour finishes after returning back to Kyoto at 12:16pm, and you will still have a plenty of time in the afternoon on the day!
