The first destination of a full day combination tour will be the birthplace, hometown, and final resting place of the legendary Bob Marley, the father of Reggae, situated in Nine Mile St. Ann. The tour begins with a close view of the house where Bob was born and then a walk through the house he lived in from a toddler of 6 months until he became a teenager. After receiving this rich history of Jamaica's musical Legend you'll be off to enjoy delicious Jamaican cuisine at Scotchies. Continue to the world's famous Dunn's River Falls, one of Jamaica's national treasures and perhaps Jamaica’s best known tourist attractions. Here you'll trek to the top of the falls for scenic views of the surrounding landscape.
From Ocho Rios you will arrive at Bob Marley's birthplace and final resting place to begin this small group tour. Walk through the village with your expert guide, learning about Marley's life and explore his culture. Visit Mt. Zion Rock, Bob's meditation spot, and see the ‘pillow’ made famous in the song ‘Talking Blues.’ This hour long tour will allow you to view memorabilia while you learn about the king of reggae. The next stop would be lunch at one of the famous jerk huts in Ocho Rios where you will enjoy some authentic Jamaican cuisine before continuing to Dunn's River Falls (additional cost).
After feasting on a local delicacy, it is time to splash at the Dunn's River Falls. With the help of your guide, hike to the top of Dunn’s River Falls. These terraced waterfalls cascade 600 feet (180 meters) down the smooth rocks, ending at a beach with a sundeck. As you make your way to the top on a moderate hike, stop and swim in the refreshing rock pools. When you reach the top, admire breathtaking views of the Jamaican scenery below. After a full day of exploring, you'll be transferred back to your hotel or cruise port for drop-off. For hotel guests, you will be back around 3pm local time and for cruise ship guests you will return 45 mins before your scheduled boarding time.
