This tour is of the Trench Town Culture Yard Museum, which are located in the rooms and court yard of a Government Yard. Built in the 1940’s, the well planned, designed and built dwelling and service buildings have been restored to their original likeness. The TTCY Museum is located in a typical U-Block which has been adaptively reused. It is here residents and visitors would hang out, socialize, eat, gamble, listen to and rehearse music. Mr. Bighand‘s system rocked from the verandah. Tarta would cook the food for much of this activity. This is the yard where Tarta, having already taught Bob how to play the guitar, wrote the song “No Woman No Cry”. It was here Georgie lived and would cook cornmeal porridge for everyone. You will see the temporary galleries with photos of Bob Marley, Joe Higgs, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer taken in the yard in the early 60's. You will see Tarta's room and ‘kitchen’ room "the casbah" where Bob and Rita spent a lot of private time . There is also Tarta’s guitar on which he taught Bob and others on.

You will walk to Second Street, where you can feel the character of the community and see the Mother Booker’s house (Bob Marley’s mother) at 19 Second Street. Mother Booker and Bob moved there from a rural beginning. The original building still remains and is occupied. She lived there with Bunny Wailer's father, Mr. “Toddy” Livingston. Second Street also takes you by the house of famous Rocksteady artist, Delroy Wilson.

Following the script as outlined in Bob Marley's hit song "Natty Dread", you will walk First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Streets. From Fifth Street you will see across the open blocks to Sixth and Seventh Streets. Throughout the journey you will see the layout of the community and yards of various famous personalities such as Bunny Wailer, Alton Ellis, Mortimer Planno, Joe Higgs, Peter Tosh, The Abbysinians and others . It is an easy walk and along the way you will also pass local craft studios that offer Made In Trench Town souvenirs. These studios were built by the Trench Town Development Association and are strategically scattered throughout the community. This tour truly allows you the opportunity to understand why Trench Town was known as the Hollywood of Jamaica. The tour will take you back to the TTCY.
