Towards the end of the fifteenth century, Venice saw the birth of the first coffee store, opening the way to coffee shops as we know them today. This coffee experiment was a great success, seeing that by 1763 there were 218 locations commercializing in coffee. As retold by several local historians, coffee houses became a meeting place for intellectuals and the principle families of Venice. Together with our guide you’ll follow the local history of coffee culture, accompanying you to the places where this beverage played a central role.It’s known that Italy is synonymous with culture; but also with food and wine. Venice in particular has to offer its own authentic gastronomic specialties which are not found anywhere else.This tour will allow you to discover real venetian food, to savor the specialties (cicchetti) while in the other hand a savoury glass of wine; to try an aperitif of your choice, accompanied by an expert guide who will explain the characteristics and differences of the various products.The tour starts at 6pm at Rialto Bridge (on the top middle section).
