There are several additional sites of historical and archaeological interest in the valley. Skeletons and funerary objects including pots and bone tools were discovered in the Grotta Rifugio, used by the Bonu Ighinu people (4700 to 4000 BC) as a burial ground. During excavations in the 1970s, two female pagan deities, ceramics and cooking utensils were discovered in the Grotta del Guano occupied by the Neolithic Ozieri people (3800 to 2900 BC).
