You'll be spoiled for variety in this region where the Nebrodi and Madonie mountains meet the Tyrrhenian Sea. Along the coast you can feast on roasted squid, fried shrimp, stuffed swordfish or spaghetti with clams and mussels – but as soon as you move inland, the focus shifts to wild mushrooms, freshly made ricotta, locally grown hazelnuts and artichokes and the Nebrodi Mountains' famous black pork.
