After sampling the estate’s excellent Rosso and Brunello, enjoy lunch at the winery. Then we’ll head to the quaint town of Montalcino where you can shop and walk off all that fabulous vino or duck into a tasting room and to keep the buzz going. The evening will conclude with dinner in the Enoteca la Fortezza, which is located within a medieval castle. The expert sommeliers will lead us through another Tuscan wine tasting as we enjoy our meal. ItineraryThis is a typical itinerary for this productMONDAY WORKSHOP 11:30 am- 5 pm: This photography workshop is for real wine lovers! We will first do street photography in Montepulciano and photograph a magnificent wine cellar just near the main square. Then we will move to two different wineries that have a completely different concept. One of the wineries is located in Montefollonico and its walls were built in the 14th century. You can smell history while walking through the door and the property has a garden with one of the most incredible views on the Val di Chiana, a perfect place for a small wine tasting. The other winery is just outside Montepulciano and it makes organic and biodynamic wine. It has an “off-grid” cellar which is considered a model of environmental efficiency and technological innovation. We will have a quick tasting here too and we will finish the day taking pictures of the beautiful valley surrounding Montepulciano.Duration: 6 hoursLocation: Montepulciano City Tour, Montepulciano, TuscanyTUESDAY WORKSHOP 11:30 am- 5 pm :In this workshop we will go to San Quirico, a small village in the heart of the Val d’Orcia national park. Here we will practice street photography while visiting the Horti Leonini, a beautiful example of Italian garden which dates back to 1581, the alleys and square of the town. When the light will get softer we will move to the suggestive road where the movie The Gladiator was filmed for landscape photography. After that we will move to Vitaleta chapel passing through one of the most spectacular roads in the area.Duration: 6 hoursLocation: San Quirico d'Orcia, San Quirico d'Orcia, TuscanyWEDNESDAY WORKSHOP 11:30 am- 5 pm : In this workshop we will first go to Monticchiello, a fascinating medieval borgo not far from Montepulciano. Then you will discover an incredible Italian garden hidden in the heart of Val d’Orcia. We will go and photograph it at 5 pm as this is the time when the sun is in the perfect position as it will be hitting the trees and vegetation affecting the shadows in a way to create incredible geometries. Then, with the setting sun , we will move to some of the most iconic spots of Val d’Orcia, finding ourselves lost in the spectacular countryside between cypress trees and rolling hills.Duration: 6 hoursLocation: Monticchiello, Pienza, TuscanySUNDAY WORKSHOP 11:30 am- 5 pm: This workshop is for anyone who wants to get his hands in the real countryside life. After some practice of street photography in Pienza we will be visiting a traditional cheesemaker nearby. There you will be able to photograph goats, sheep, peacocks, dogs and many other animals in the wild. Furthermore, in the evening, the producer himself will be in the stall milking the goats by hand. Then we will have a well presented plate of cheeses produced in the organic farm, while sitting in a veranda with a magnificent view on Val d’Orcia.
