Today, this innovative and technological establishment is the largest maritime museum in the Mediterranean Sea.With this combo ticket you will also have access to the S 518 Nazario Sauro Submarine, part of Galata Maritime Museum. The Submarine, launched in 1976 and operational until 2002, is the first submarine-museum in Italy to be visited in the water. It offers the thrill of experiencing the conditions of life on board a real submarine, even through multimedia and interactive technical solutions.Please note that access to the submarine is not permitted to children under the age of 4, and it is not accessible to people on a wheelchair. The visit is also not recommended for those who suffer from claustrophobia and more generally those who are uncomfortable in closed and crowded areas, and for those who have difficulty walking. Before entering the submarine, you will have to go to the reception desk of Galata Maritime Museum to hand over the signed release and to deposit your bags in the appropriate cloackroom. Upon delivery of an identity document, a safety casket will be provided free of charge. High heels cannot be worn in the submarine.
