Popular with Slow Food fans, this veteran restaurant is lovingly run by the Tranchina family. In the kitchen is matriarch Giovanna, whose allegiance to seasonal and local ingredients drives beautiful, nostalgic dishes like minestra con tenerumi, fiori di zucca e caciocavallo (soup of cucuzza leaves, zucchini flowers and caciocavallo cheese) and polpettine di finocchio selvatico in agrodolce (wild-fennel patties in sweet-and-sour sauce).
