Car & Motorcycle
To arrive in San Gimignano from Florence and Siena, take the Siena–Florence autostrada, then the SR2 and finally the SP1 from Poggibonsi Nord. From Volterra, take the SR68 east and follow the turn-off signs north to San Gimignano on the SP47.
Parking is expensive here. The cheapest option (€1.50/6 per hour/24 hours) is at Parcheggio Giubileo (P1) on the southern edge of town; the most convenient is at Parcheggio Montemaggio (P2) next to Porta San Giovanni (€2/20 per hour/24 hours).
The closest train station to San Gimignano is Poggibonsi (by bus €2.50, 30 minutes, frequent).
