Rome’s only two-Michelin-starred restaurant, Il Pagliaccio is Italian fine dining at its best. Chef Anthony Genovese – who was born in France to Italian parents and honed his craft in Asia – draws vivid inspiration from his eclectic background, creating dishes such as lobster with passionfruit and stracchino (soft cheese), oyster and green-apple granita, and a memorable take on green curry.

Diners can go à la carte or order a tasting menu: a three-course option at lunchtime and eight- or 10-course menus at dinner.
