Gatsby Café

Top choice bar in Monti, Esquilino & San Lorenzo

There's good reason why the friendly bartenders here all wear flat caps, feather-trimmed trilbys and other traditional gents' hats: this fabulous 1950s-styled space with vintage furniture and flashes of geometric wallpaper was originally a milliner's shop called Galleria Venturini. Brilliant rhubarb or elderflower spritz, craft cocktails, gourmet panini, and taglieri (salami and cheese platters) make it a top aperitivo spot.

Don't miss the intimate lounge on the 2nd floor and the vintage hat collection displayed behind glass on the 1st floor.
