La Casa del Jazz

Jazz in Southern Rome

In the middle of a park in the southern suburbs, the Jazz House resides in a three-storey 1920s villa that once belonged to the boss of the banda del Magliana, a powerful local Mafia outfit. When he was caught, Rome Council converted it into a jazz complex with a 150-seat auditorium, rehearsal rooms, cafe and restaurant. It books some big names.

Gig admission varies; some events are free.
