You will walk through the unique neighborhood of Trastevere, stopping along the way to sample Roman specialties giving you plenty of time to savor both the tastes and the ambiance. In true Roman style, we will stand in front of the food counters or find lovely spots to sit in one of Rome’s many “piazzas”.

Extremely charming, thanks to its cobble-stoned alleys and medieval feeling, it is home to some of the best and oldest food spots in Rome, as well as some of the oldest churches in the city, preserving its Roman identity. We will begin by crossing the historic Ponte Sisto and make the following stops along the way:- Coffee: We will get to know each other over a delicious coffee inone of the oldest and most traditional bars in the neighborhood.- Forno: One of the best-known bakeries in the city, we will trysome of their delicious pizza.- Biscotti: We will sample some incredible artisanal cookies in afamily-owned shop hidden in one of Trastevere’e tiny alleys. Thisis the oldest surviving cookie shop in Rome!- Suppli: Rome’s most popular street food item, we will try the onemany believe is the best you can find in the city as well as myfavorite pizza al taglio in Rome. We might be able to try someincredible pasta as well.- Market: We will take a walk around the neighborhood’s smallopen-air market, which is filled with locals. We will take a closelook at seasonal produce, and explore how Roman’s shop for theirfruits and vegetables. We will also be trying some deliciouscheeses and cured meats from a small family-owned stand in themarket.- Gelato: Our last stop is a sweet one.
