The walls of the Aurelian Walls, originally developed for 18 km, was built between 270 and 273 AD by Emperor Aurelian to defend Rome from the Barbarian incursions.We offer a fun and light way to tour the city and learn something more about its history and its secrets: riding our bikes, retrace a portion of the track (about 12km) of the defensive system of the Imperial Rome, just stopping to the most striking points rich in history and legends.
We'll get to see up close the oldest best preserved entrance doors, until you reach Porta San Sebastiano, formerly known also as Porta Appia, named after the street that from here branched off and which now houses the splendid Museum of the Walls, we visit accompanied by a well prepared tour guide.Felice Aqueduct, Claudio Aqueduct, Porta S. Sebastiano, Caracalla Thermal Baths, Porta Metronia, Linear Park of the Walls, Porta Latina, Porta S. Sebastiano, Museo delle Mura.
