Monteriggioni: Monteriggioni is a medieval walled town, located on a natural hillock, built in 1214–19. During the conflicts between Siena and Florence in the Middle Ages, the city was strategically placed as a defensive fortification. It also withstood many attacks from both the Florentines and the forces of the Bishop of Volterra. San Gimignano: San Gimignano is a small walled medieval hill town. Known as the Town of Fine Towers, San Gimignano is famous for its medieval architecture, unique in the preservation of about a dozen of its tower houses, with its hilltop setting and encircling walls form "an unforgettable skyline". Within the walls, the well-preserved buildings include notable examples of both Romanesque and Gothic architecture, with outstanding examples of secular buildings as well as churches. The "Historic Centre of San Gimignano", is a Unesco World Heritage Site. Castellina in Chianti: Castellina in Chianti is a small town located along the Chianti hills. The town has Etruscan origins, but its aesthetics changed a lot during the centuries, until they reached the appearance of a medieval town that we can see nowadays. The most impressive site to visit in town is the Rocca, that can be dated back to the 15th century. At the end of the tour the driver will take you back to your accommodation in Rome. The tour will be a total of 12 hours from pick up to drop off. Suggested pick up is at 8.00 am.
