This  Day Tour is to take you on a journey to the mediaeval time for you to admire two very unique towns , Orvieto and Civita di Bagnoregio.Orvieto is a city that went through many historic eras, some of which as a protagonist, in particular during the Etruscan and medieval ages. It is a center of great historical and cultural importance of Italy.The Cathedral is situated in a big square dominating the town It is a classic piece of religious construction, with many elements of design from the 14th until 20th century, with a large and famous rose window, golden mosaics and three huge bronze doors.Civita di Bagnoregio is called The ‘Dying City’ is one of most popular tourist destinations and one of Italy’s most evocative sights. It’s perched on a tiny cliff with jaw-dropping valleys all around it and connected to the mainland by one very long and very narrow bridge.
Pick up at the Hotel , after 2 hours we will arrive at a very unique place called Civita di Bagnoregio. Also called the “dying city” for the fact that the terrain around this town has been gradually eroding in such a way as to have completely isolated it. Bagnoregio is accessible now only by a long and very high pedestrian bridge.Then we will drive you to the beautiful medieval city of Orvieto which towers over the surrounding countryside characterized by vineyards and olive groves.Here you will have time to walk around and visit the major attractions of this charming little walled hill town. The Glorious Gothic-style Duomo (cathedral) is one of the most beautiful churches in Italy, due to its splendid and decorative façade, façade adorned with elaborate sculptures and colored mosaics designed by Lorenzo Maitani of Siena. Inside you can find the magnificent frescoes of Fra Angelico and Luca Signorelli.
